J409 Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at J409.

We want you to love how your space feels with our art on your walls. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.


1. Return window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it (unused, unframed, and undamaged).

  • It must be in the original packaging or equivalent protective packaging.


2. Made-to-order prints

All J409 artworks are made to order.
Because of this:

  • We accept returns for change of mind, but

  • A return authorization is required first (see “How to start a return”).

  • Custom sizes or personalized items (if offered) may be final sale and not eligible for return.

If you’re unsure whether your order is returnable, please contact us before sending anything back.


3. Damaged or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you received the wrong item, we will replace it or refund you.

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the item and packaging

  • A brief description of the issue

We’ll review and let you know the next steps.


4. Return shipping costs

  • If the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, incorrect item), we cover return shipping or send a replacement at no extra cost.

  • For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return shipping costs. These costs are non-refundable.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and keeping your receipt.


5. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll email you to confirm approval or rejection.

  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method.

  • Processing times vary by payment provider, but usually take 5–10 business days after we issue the refund.

We do not refund:

  • Original shipping charges (if any)

  • Items returned damaged or used beyond what is necessary to inspect them


6. Exchanges

We currently handle exchanges as a return + new purchase:

  1. Request a return for the original item.

  2. Place a new order for the item you prefer.

If your item arrived damaged or incorrect, we’ll arrange a replacement instead of asking you to place a new order.


7. How to start a return

To start a return, please contact us:

Please include:

  • Your full name

  • Order number

  • Item(s) you’d like to return

  • Reason for the return

  • Photos (if damaged/defective)

We’ll reply with return instructions and the correct return address.

Returns sent back without prior authorization may not be accepted.
